The Client is looking for a .NET developer to help develop their "back office" application that supports the back office stuff of the Weather Channel (the majority of the company uses it). This back office application generates updates on The Weather Channel TV network.
This person needs to be senior and needs to be someone that does not need to have their hand held. This person will have to take a piece of functionality and take it from the requirements stage and show it to the users and Business Analysts and own that piece of functionality.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in C# 4.0. (8 years of C# minimum)
-Object Oriented and design Patterns: 5 years
-WCF: 4 years
-WPF: 4 years
-Windows Forms
-.NET Framework
-.NET Data Layer
-SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of LinqToSQL, LinqToExpressions and concepts such as projection, aggregation, deferred or lazy evaluation.
- Strong understanding of general language concepts such as boxing, static and dynamic type checking, generics, stack and heap allocation, anonymous types, extension methods, implicit and explicit conversions, etc.
- Advanced WCF knowledge particularly in concepts such as Message Queuing and Security.
- Good understanding of .NET framework
especially related to types that belong to namespaces such as System. Reflection and System.Workflows.
- Skilled in witting SQL Server stored procedures and SQL DML scripts.
- Knowledgeable in ASP.NET MVC4 and Javascript libraries such as jQuery and Knockout.
Good experience in concepts and practices such as:
- Agile Software Development.
- Continuous Integration.
- Test-driven development
