As I said, the tread topic was spun by using a different adjective than the Daily Mail report, but still gave the "sense" of idea...  What was said

Self-Delusion was turned into "delusional liar"...   Now Kerrey did use "delusional",  Did he also imply a degree of self-delusional??? Well the article did say just this

So yes "Self-Delusional" is a fair (but partisan) spin to describe Kerrey's comments because it was exact has the Daily Mail reported it......
