Job description
The Business Analyst is the liaison between business groups and development groups. Business Analysts analyze users' business needs and work with developers to design effective, simple, creative automation solutions within project constraints. Business Analyst provides analysis, design, documentation, and testing on projects with moderate supervision.
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following:
• Utilizes standard Business Analyst processes and methods for designing new applications, gathering and organizing business requirements, and producing design documents.
• Manages work within committed timelines and budgets; is accountable for all assigned tasks and projects; regularly informs manager of progress, when issues or conflicts occur, and makes recommendations for resolution.
• Works in collaborative manner and in partnership with team members on cross-functional teams
• Organizes and maintains task lists and planned timing for assigned projects and work, and reviews progress and issues regularly with management.
• Leads user acceptance testing of delivered application corrections to validate identified issue is resolved without additional problems being created.
• This person will be self-directed and will require a low level of direct supervision.
Experience & Knowledge:
• Work experience on ETRM applications and Dodd Frank Compliance Requirements.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, servers and logical environments
• Proficient in PL/SQL programming in Oracle 11g database.
• Good Data Analysis skills and rigorous attention to detail
• Should have knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint; MS Excel;
• Experience with Change and Release Management
• Excellent understanding of the commodity trading business
• Effective and clear communicator
• Application of best practices to ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables
• High self-motivation and strong delivery focus
