Job Description:

Title                 : Ruby on Rails software developer
Location          : San Francisco Bay Area
Duration          : 6 Months +

Key Responsibilities

·         Very strong Ruby skills

·         Deep understanding of Rails

·         Experience building enterprise web applications using Ruby on Rails

·         Strong grasp of software design fundamentals and patterns

·         Experience with TDD (MiniTest a plus)

·         Experience with Git and working with a distributed team

·         Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables

·         Work collaboratively with Quality Team, Product Team, and Development Team

·         Participate and promote communication among business, management and Development personnel.

 

Required Skills

• Proven knowledge of Agile Scrum and different phases of the SDLC, Project and Testing Methodologies
• Creative technical problem solver
• Organized, methodical and detail-oriented
• Able to focus on deadlines and deliverables
• Advanced knowledge of unit testing, test case development, execution and reporting.

Communication

• Communicate across multiple geographically diverse locations
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment

Education and Experience

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience with Agile Scrum
• 4+ years of relevant Ruby on Rails Software Development experience
