GIS - Infrastructure/Systems Architect

Description:    The main function of an Infrastructure/Systems Administrator Architect Specialized is to apply business process expertise to highly complex technical projects interfacing with departments, service centers, and/or business unit customer bases worldwide to guide solution design of software and tools within the technical infrastructure of the organization to fulfill business requirements, complements the balance of the solution, and advances the enterprise toward the strategic vision. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with process partner organizations to have an in-depth understanding of their operations and benchmark to related corporate and/or industry standards. Review and provide counsel for all major business case analysis efforts and multi-generational product planning. Provide guidance/recommendations to process owners and is consulted by business areas for input and thoughts. Actively participate and provide project leadership to process partners, management, customers and project teams on the most complex aspect of technical, networking, or system integration. Investigates and proposes leading edge methodologies and/or technology solutions. Interact with solution vendors to determine best fit and develop solution plan. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to think outside the box. Ability to work with minimal management input.Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to build a cohesive team from diverse members. Expert proficiency in a computer software application or functional expertise specifically identified in the assignment requirements. (Examples below) - Teradata - Websphere Application Server - Tomcat Application Server - Networked Attached Storage (NAS) - Tivoli Storage Management (TSM) - .Net performance - Citrix - Java performance - BMC Remedy. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. 10+ years’ experience required.
