Responsibilities
· GlobalLogic is looking for a Java Lead developer to participate in implementation of embedded components to support variety of automotive services. Successful candidate would be responsible for:
· Design and development of applications running in the automobiles and providing variety of telematic services
· Implementing key modules of the solution
· Conducting RCA (root cause analysis) and troubleshooting activities in production and staging environments: work with onsite testing resources on reproducing the issue, code review and analysis, logs analysis.
· Support end-to-end and user acceptance testing, including but not limited to generation of test data, help in emulation of different business flows, in-vehicle testing, close cooperation in identifying gaps and potential issues.
· You should be able to quickly learn new technologies and architecture approaches; read and understand code provided by others; triage issues in real time and provide RCA within short timeframes.
· Successful candidates will have an opportunity to shape new industry of automotive infotainment and telematics, work with cutting edge technology stack and architecture approaches.
· Required
· Strong experience with core Java, multi threading, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, JMS, unit/integration testing frameworks and techniques
· Ability to implement applications for constrained (low-power, low-resources) environments in Java (preferably for JamaicaVM)
· Deep understanding of resource management and multithreading
· Experience working with REST/JSON Web Services and good understanding of HTTP(s) protocol
· Good understanding of messaging and system integration concepts. Experience developing event-driven solutions is a big plus
· Ability to work in Linux OS environment. Knowledge of scripting and common tools.
· Nice to have:
· Micro-services based architecture, Identity Management System (IDM)
· Domain: Automotive (Connected Vehicle solutions)
Platform technology stack consists of:
· Java (constrained edition provided by Jamaica VM)
· REST/JSON Web Services
· Brokers: MQTT or equivalent
· Cloud: AWS EC2, AWS S3 or similar (public or private)
