Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Chief Data Officer, the Senior SAS/SQL Developer is responsible for planning, designing, developing, enhancing, deploying and supporting data quality solutions and reporting structures primarily in support of the Enrollment Reporting process as well as other PKA initiatives.

 

Reports to: Chief Data Officer

 

Responsibilities:

·                     Develops and implements all phases of the Enrollment Reporting Process , including definition of requirements, analysis, design, testing, implementation, post-implementation support , data structure creation and program structures primarily using SAS and SQL in support of PKA  and in accordance with Department of Education standards.

·                     Develop and Implement post Data Warehouse Data Quality matching process and maintenance of Child ID 

·                     Develops and maintains data structures in the Reporting Data Mart in support of the Enrollment Pipeline and other PKA Reports.

·                     Develops ,maintains and  implements inter-agency reports using various file transfer protocols

·                     Works with business and technical stakeholders to identify and gather requirements including the development of documents/materials for sponsors, stakeholders and technical staff.

·                     Designing and developing re-usable code/queries for extracting all SAS data into and out of flat files.

·                     Designing and developing re-usable code/queries for loading data to the SQL Database.

 

Qualification Requirements:

·                     A minimum of 5+ years experience working in SAS Development and programming

·                     Experience in report design and presentation

·                     Experience developing procedures that interface with SQL Server.

·                     Strong experience in various programming languages ( i.e. SQL, Python , Visual Basic)

·                     Strong understanding or relational database concepts (Oracle, SQL Server )

·                     Proven work experience in an educational institution

·                     Strong verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and business audiences.
