We have excellent Opportunity for Java Developer with MySQL, and Perl in Midtown Manhattan for 12+ Months Contract.
Job Title : Java Developer
Location : Midtown Manhattan, NY
Duration : 12+ Months

Responsibilities:
· Involvement in two main database related projects, including changing the data model and identifying opportunities for improvement:
o Mass data remediation project, which is a data cleanup project
o Database loading project, involvingmigrating data from MYSQL to Oracle
· Key focus areas:
o Run performance tests and identify where database is running slow; collaborate with Sr. DBA to fine tune the databases
o Ensure data consistency
o Build monitoring modules
o Build data comparison tools
o Build the notification and alert modules
Skills Required:
· Overall 10+ years of experience in programming and software development, data analysis, testing, requirements definition and management, and systems design
· Previous consulting/investment banking experience preferred, e.g. Index Business, Fixed Income
· Experience withagile development methodologies
· Background in object-oriented design and analysis, software specification including UML diagramming, and data modeling
· Preferred technical skills include: Core JAVA 1.7, Shell Scripting, Perl, Database performance tuning and data modeling
1. Scripting experience is required (e.g Perl)
- Strong backend development with MYSQL; Oracle is a plus
- Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical people
- Financial background is Must.
- SQL Development is must
