Job Description;
Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• SQL Server
• Setup and maintain data replication and mirroring
• Configure maintenance automation
• Backup and Recovery
• Troubleshoot SQL Server service performance issues as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
• Manage SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
• Install and configure new SQL Servers
• SQl Server Analysis Services
• Migrating Sql Server database to Sql Server 2012.
• Developing Reports using SSRS
• Oracle 11/12
• Develop Dashboard and reports using Oracle BI
• Develop and present end user training in Oracle BI
