Position: Teradata Lead

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Duration: 12 + Months

Responsibilities:

• Should have 8+ Years of IT experience and 5+ years of experience in design development skills in Teradata, Create new BTEQ scripts as needed

• Strong Informatica 8x and above skills as Designer and Developer

• Performance maintenance of existing BTEQ scripts for a number of Marsh applications

• Work with Marsh's Teradata DBA on any pertinent issues

• Work with various individuals from the IT and business (MGA) teams who are involved with systems running on Teradata. This includes work with individuals who:

• Stipulate business and functional requirements

• Teradata developer who might be working on a particular project

• MicroStrategy administrators and developers (MicroStrategy is the visualization layer for the data stored in Teradata)

• IT technical lead and project manager

• Be on call for sev1 issues

• Good communication skills

• Good DWBI skills

• Must have 6+ years of experience in Informatica 8x and above

• Experience of full life cycle for ETL projects (Requirements, design,d evelopment and Test support)

• Strong ETL concepts and Database/PLSQL skills

• Must have at least basic Unix skills

• Excellent Communication and Analytical Skills

• Self starter who can perform consultant role

• Should be a good team player

• Good knowledge of SDLC

• Well versed with ETL methodologies and best practices

• Should be well versed with performance tuning guidelines

• Must be open to relocate

Must:

• Solid understanding of BIDW concepts

• Experience in design development skills in Teradata

• Deep knowledge of the Informtica tool (Version 8 or aboce)

• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices

• Strong experience designing and working with multi architectures

• Ability to design and work with either Oracle or SQL Server database

• Experience with any ETL tool or similar technologies

• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment

• Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player

• Passionate about building high-quality systems

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical skills able to identify alternatives, presenting options, and making recommendations to meet the projects goals

• Good Problem solving abilities
