Role: Sr Sharepoint / Web Developer
Location: NY
Duration: 24 months
Job Description
- Developing a web-based end to end SESIS interactive training tool including all end-user functions in SESIS.
- Enhance SESIS by utilizing video, digital media and animation tools to enhance the SESIS learning environment for end-users.
- Collaborate with SESIS and NYCDOE personnel to develop learning solutions for SESIS utilizing adult learning theory and practice.
- Utilizing combinations of interactive development tools such as Powerpoint, Photoshop, Captivate, Articulate and/or Flash to enhance SESIS Implementation and training materials.
- Reviewing, evaluating and recommending modification to existing SESIS training programs and materials.
- Continuing development and modification of the SESIS Sharepoint site.
- Provide technical support for instructor-led training sessions and test and training environments.
- Performs ad hoc projects at the request of the Executive Director of the SESIS project.
- Performs related work.
Requirements
Minimum
1. Graduation from an accredited college with a baccalaureate degree and three (3) years of full-time, paid experience in education and administration in one or more of the following areas: special education, career and occupational education, curriculum, development, evaluation and testing, educational planning and educational statistics, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory/consultative capacity; or
2. High school graduation or evidence of having passed an examination for a high school equivalency diploma plus seven (7) years of full-time, paid experience in education administration or in one or more of the areas listed in “1” above, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory/consultative capacity; or
3. A combination of education and/or experience which is equivalent to the requirements in “1” and “2” above. However, all candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of appropriate, relevant experience in one or more of the areas listed in “1” above. Teaching experience will be accepted towards meeting the requirement.

· Attentive to detail, extremely well organized, able to work under pressure, and meet frequent and changing deadlines.
· Skilled with group problem-solving and working with complex concepts in a dynamic setting.
· Ability to organize and present information and figures in a clear, concise and logical manner, both orally and in writing.
· Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with education and non-education personnel, internal and external to the DOE.
· Knowledge and/or experience with a variety of multimedia and instructional media tools as noted above, graphic design, internet space, eLearning, on-line help, online guides and animated tutorials.
