Position: SQL Server DBA that has supported an SAP environment

Location: Houston, TX 

Duration: 6 months plus

 

Design, implement and provide operational support for SAP SQL and Oracle databases in an enterprise environment.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

· Strong understanding and experience in relational database design and administration.

· 3+ years SAP experience as a DBA

· Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 R2 database administration required

· Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 is preferred

· Experience with designing and implementing high availability database solutions and database recovery solutions using SQL database clustering, Log-shipping, replication, and back-up and restore technologies. Experience using Litespeed is a plus.

· Experience in SQL database performance tuning methods including experience with Perfmon, SQL DMVs and SQL profiler.

· Experience providing support for Global Operations (24X7)

· Experience in stored procedure & trigger development, DTS package/SISS development, and database security

· Experience with Oracle 8i/10x/11gi database administration and operational support preferred

· Knowledge of network communications, server hardware configuration, and database server operational support and maintenance processes and procedures required

· Knowledge of database clustering technologies and alternative disk storage solutions an advantage
