This resource will be responsible for designing and developing a GIS/CADD workflow to convert and publish existing right of way CADD data to the GIS environment.  This resource will be dedicated to this project through implementation.

 

Major duties include:

1. Consult with customers to ensure implementation is on track to meet expectations.

2. Design, develop, maintain, and support advanced tools, technologies and methodologies related to GIS and Microstation.

3. Develop scripts, program modules, and applications as needed for implementation, testing, and maintenance.

4. Develop and implement operations and maintenance processes for Right of Way management with NCDOT staff.

5. Assist with reviews (design, code, etc.) and make recommendations for required changes and suggestions for improvement.

6. Develop test plans for all levels of testing.  Develop and execute regression, design verification, and performance tests.

 

Skills Needed

Advanced GIS Analyst role requiring specialization in GIS and Microstation technology and an advanced understanding of GIS analysis processes              Required               5              Years

Strong skills in development of analysis procedure, complex system integration, software configuration management, and development processes.             Required               5              Years

Proficiency with ESRI’s ArcGIS product line.   Required               5              Years

Proficiency with Microstation customization and data format conversion.              Required               5              Years

Proficiency with GIS analysis with ArcGIS tools, Python scripts and Model Builders.              Required               5              Years

Experience with workflow and procedure development and customization with ArcGIS WorkFlow Manager.                Required               5                Years

Knowledge of GIS principals, theories, and practices.  Required               5              Years

Knowledge of ArcGIS Server and GIS Services publication.         Required               5              Years

Knowledge of ArcObjects. Required               5              Years

Experience with the integrating and implementing complex technology solutions.               Required               5              Years

Knowledge of industry standards including (UML, XML, XSD, XSLT, HTML, CSS, Web Services, SOAP, REST, AJAX).         Required               5                Years

Knowledge of software development methodologies. Required               5              Years

Proficiency with automating manual business and IT processes.                Required               5              Years

Experience with Software Configuration Management tools. e.g. Team Foundation Server, CVS, Subversion, or Clear Case.        Required                5              Years

The ability to develop activity schedules from high level requests.           Required               5              Years

The ability to work proficiently with very minimal daily guidance.             Required               5              Years

The ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.             Required               5              Years

Demonstrated experience in working with external technology vendors.               Required               5              Years
