Job Description	Overview Brief statement about project type and how role supports The Java Developer shall have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software.  Technical Skills Skill Years/Level of Experience   Mandatory Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, Spring, and RAD  5+ Years   Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL 5+ Years   Experience required with deployment platforms such as Maven, Jenkins and OpenShift 5+ Years   Experience writing and calling REST based/JSON API Design. 5+ Years         Preferred Strong Experience with Node.js, React JS and Angular JS GUI skills. 5+ Years   (in order of preference)           Job Responsibilities The Java Developer shall have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software.  Has developed detailed and robust requirements, code, test, and implement proposed systems.   Hands-on experience with projects supporting Service Oriented Architecture principles.  Works without technical oversight of a team as required.    Shall also possess strong oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts.   Required Skills: ·  Must have experience writing and calling REST based/JSON API Design. ·  Must have experience with Spring Boot, Restlet and Jetty. ·  Must have experience with Agile development Methodologies and frameworks. ·  Must have experience developing web applications that use PostgreSQL or some other relational database ·  Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, Spring, and RAD. ·  Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL. ·  Experience required with deployment platforms such as Maven, Jenkins and OpenShift. ·  Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within OO application systems. ·  Solid OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation. ·  Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving. ·  Self-managed with the ability to mentor others. ·  Familiarity with project management frameworks.       Desired Skills: ·  Strong Experience with Node.js, React JS and Angular JS GUI skills. ·  Strong Experience with Ajax, HTML5 and CSS3. ·  Strong communication and documentation skills. ·  Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents. ·  Self-starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment. ·  Ability to investigate/research issues, determines impact, and provide solutions. ·  Experience with version control software such as Git, and SVN. ·  Familiar with Web Service technologies such as Apache Axis, SOAP and WSDL. ·  Familiar with Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI. ·  Familiar with MS Project and Visio. ·  Familiarity with IT Governance frameworks.
Education Level	Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8+ years or more of professional experience.
Work Location	Woodlawn, Maryland ☒ Work to be performed on-site
Special Requirements	Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card Clearance Required: Public Trust Clearance (required prior to start)
