Position: Data Scientist

Job Description :
Collaborate with business partners to understand business objectives goals and then develop a clear and well-defined analytic plan that supports obtaining those objectives.
· Support the analytic life cycle:
· Performs data extraction and data manipulation.
· Explore data to understand and articulate the data profile and its limitations.
· Assist in the development of predictive modeling and association modeling such as segmentation analysis, data modeling, risk modeling, behavioral analysis, cross-selling analysis, and customer churn analysis.
· Develop trusted, actionable outcomes by applying appropriate analytical techniques and metrics.
· Support the deployment & maintenance of the analytic model.
· Communicates clear outcomes at varying levels of detail to our business partners.
· Ability to explore big data without a specific problem defined, in order to come up with the right questions and provide interesting findings.
· Experience in agile methods, software engineering techniques (e.g. unit testing, refactoring, version control), design of solution architectures and software product development.
· Proficient in computer languages like Java, Python, R and SQL, making use of the best frameworks for machine learning pipelines, data visualization, manipulation and transforming, models training and evaluation, and models deployment.
· Experience with Platforms for Big Data processing (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, BigQuery), Cloud Platforms and Data Viz tools (e.g. Tableau, R-shiny, Bokeh, D3.js)
· Use machine learning frameworks to implement models, metrics, perform evaluation and apply feature engineering techniques and deploy the models in production.
· Evaluate hypotheses and the impact of machine learning algorithms on key business metrics.
· Adequate oral and written communication and human relations skills
· Strong problem solving skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity
· Potential to self-direct and work independently at times.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Graduate degree in analytically driven fields such as mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, data science, computer science, operations research or actuarial science
Strong business acumen
