Our priority is to have a candidate that is an expert with Cisco UCM, with a strong understanding of VMware. We would also like the candidates to have a solid understanding of Nexus 7K and 5K. Please let me know.
General Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience and a combination of designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and administering the Voice and Video Products, Devices, Solutions, and Technologies for small, medium, large and/or Enterprise Businesses
- MS, B.S. or equivalent experience in Technology or Business Related Field
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- CCNP Voice/Collaboration
- CCNP Routing & Switching
- CCNP Data Center
- CCIE Collaboration desired
- Candidate must be able to travel up to 10%
Cisco Collaboration experience
- Cisco HCS (Hosted Collaboration Solution) CUCDM
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager
- Cisco Unity Connection
- Cisco Unified Presence.
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Express
- Cisco Voice Gateways (PRI, CAS, FXO, FXS)
- Cisco Unified CUBE

- Voice Provisioning Tools.
VMWare Experience
- implementing, tuning and maintaining VMware-based solutions,
- utilizing and administering VMware vSphere for server consolidation and virtualization,
- Reviewing existing technology implementations and suggests and implements improvements and upgrades. Actively seeks out opportunities to improve existing practices, procedures, and technology implementations,
- applying technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, utilities, etc. to the VMware environment,
- providing guidance to management for changes related to virtual infrastructure,
- maintaining awareness of VMware software patches and their impact on the environment,
- Defining, monitoring and troubleshooting system performance within the VMware environment.
- Contributes to developing and maintaining operational guidelines for the maintenance and support of the virtual infrastructure
- Evaluates resource requirements for VMware products
- Experience with virtual SAN storage, provisioning storage groups and LUN provisioning is a plus
- Ability to execute assignments within established timeframes and quality standards, while responding to immediate needs
Route Switch Experience
- Experience with all levels of Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR equipment
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining highly resilient and scalable distributed LAN and WAN network architecture.
- Experience in a service provider environment is a plus.
- A solid understanding of, and have experience with, most of the following network technologies: 802.1q, HSRP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, ACLs, IPSEC, and SNMP. Knowledge of MPLS, LDP, and VRFs strongly desired.
- 4-5 years Network Engineering experience; Must have experience designing and deploying solutions for large enterprise customers
- Experience with networking technologies, including Cisco Nexus 7K/5K/2K, 6500, ASA, F5 load balancer, F5 VPN, Palo Alto NGFW, L2 & L3 QoS
