Sr. MI/BI Data Analyst:
Qualified candidate will provide senior-level data analysis support of the Agency's Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) data for highly visible project. This candidate will assist with performing data analysis, validation, and verification of vendor and customer provided data. Candidate must have strong analytical
skills, be a team player and exhibit strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision. Provide expert recommendations, guidance and best practices to team and customer.
Skills Requirements:
Required Skills
·Solid understanding of Relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts.
·Experience with relational database design and development.
·Expert proficiency in using analytical tools and instruments - Excel/Microsoft Access.
·Ability to understand and develop ETL scripts in support of Data Conversion and Business Intelligence Solutions.
·Experience preparing reports that compile the data into simple and understandable formats/reports for team and customer.
·Ability to perform Unit Testing and Quality Assurance checks of developed scripts and reports.
·Participate in Business intelligence design discussions and identify reports needed.
·Perform analysis of issues raised from constructed scripts and reports.
·Ability to create detailed functional requirements derived business needs.
·Experience writing technical documentation.
Desired Skills
·Knowledge of MI/BI OLAP tools - current and emerging.
·Experience with Federal Contracting.
·Experience with the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years or more of professional experience; or 9 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
Details:
Rate to: $70/hr.
Interview: Phone first, Skype and/or may want to do a face to face.
Visa status: Any visa status will work.
Location: Woodlawn section in Baltimore county, Baltimore, MD.
Duration: These are long term contracts and can go as long as the LM contract with SSA. Federal contracts are usually seven years.
Minimum experience and education: Candidates must have a BS degree with a minimum of 11 yearswork experience or 132 months of work experience. A Masters degree plus nine years of experience is okay.
Work experience while in college can be used.
If no degree,
work experience may be substituted.
Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start. Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks.
The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.
Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
