Job Title: Sr. UI Developer
Job location : SFO
Duration : 6+ Months
Locals needed/FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW.
Experience : 8 yrs
It would be for an estimated 6 month contract (focusing on Angular front-end for the POA) and (focusing on Angular front-end for POS).
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Sr. UI Developer is responsible for delivering compelling user interfaces to help shape the visual identity of our product across several platforms. UI Developers are required to have complete mastery over JavaScript, AJAX, JSON/XML, HTML5, CSS3, as well as be comfortable interactive with server side language such as PHP and Java.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
80% UI/Web Development
Ø Design, develop, and enhance the front-end performance and reliability of our current applications, as well as participate in the development of new products with proven modern technologies
Ø Develop conceptual prototypes for presentations
Ø Work on cross-platform software applications and services, including desktop, web, and mobile devices
Ø Maintain clean, compliant, well-structured and easily maintainable unobtrusive code
Ø Thoroughly understand the implication of software designs and implementation choices on application usability, performance and maintainability
20% UI/UX Design
Ø Work closely with the senior management and the creative team to understand business priorities and requirements that will influence the design and UI of the product
Ø Enhance and improve existing user interfaces and interactions in guidance with Consensus' product vision and strategic decisions
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Sr. Manager User Experience
Works closely with Creative, QA, and Product Development teams
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
Ø 6-7+ years of professional experience developing ecommerce and web applications
Ø Excellent JavaScript skills and programming experience in several front-end technologies including: HTML/HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, JSON/XML, jQuery, JQuery Mobile
Ø Experience with MVC design patterns and JavaScript frameworks
Ø Expert UI skills and knowledge of cross browser/platform issues
Ø Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
Ø Ability to establish priorities and work independently on multiple tasks
Ø Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices, especially Agile/iterative development processes
Ø Familiar and up to date with emerging design trends and development for both mobile and web
Ø Detail oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ø Proficient Dreamweaver or equivalent, SSH, FTP, Mercurial/Git, Jira, Confluence
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Experience in e-commerce, mobile commerce and social/community experience
Ø Experience with JQ Mobile, Angular JS, RequireJS, ReactJs, Ext JS, NodeJs, Sencha GXT, Gulp, Hammer and other front-end frameworks/libraries.
Ø Strong user experience and visual design skills
Ø Knowledge of some Server Side language (PHP/Java) Web Services SQL or database experience (MySql, CouchDB)

Environment: Ability to conduct business in an office with average noise level from music playing, group meetings and telephone conversations occurring in an open office space.
