Java Developer Position.

Location: Madison, WI.

                          Immediate Face to Face Interview.

 

 

 

 

WisDOT's java development environment includes the technologies below.  Prospective candidates must have training, experience, and skills in:

 

•             Java 1.6+

•             WAS 7 and a good JEE 6+ application server understanding.

•             JUnit testing

•             Web client-side technologies: JavaScript, JQuery 1.9+, CSS2+, HTML4+

•             Frameworks: Struts 1.3, Spring 3.1+ including MVC / Core.

•             Test-Driven Development.

•             Significant development experience in the above java tools and web based technologies is required. 

•             DB2 and Oracle database technologies. 

•             Other tools or technologies:  Web services (SOAP and RESTful) .

•             Software Development Life-Cycle.

•             Must be able to work independently.

•             Candidates must have superior communication and organizational skills. 

•             Business Analyst skills are required.

 

Project tasks:

•             Maintenance and support of WisDOT Java based applications.

•             New Java based applications development.

•             Collaborate with business units and IT staff on support and project issues.

•             Work as part of a team to analyze STAR system impact. 

•             Research and analysis to diagram systems and interfaces.

•             Develop system integrations.

•             Retire programs and ensuing clean-up.
