NC's Div. of Employment Security (DES) seeks to procure one (1) contractor to fill a Mainframe Programmer Architect role. The primary responsibility of this position is to design and implement application solutions for Benefit Payments System.
The primary responsibility of this position is to design and implement application solutions for the Benefit
Payments System. This position is to backfill for existing state employees who were fulfilling these duties but have
been assigned to the SCUBI project.
Knowledge. Skills and Abilities:
Required Skills:
• Technical knowledge and experience with mainframe technology. COBOL 10 years. CICS 10 yrs, VSAM
10 yrs, and JCL 10 yrs.
• Knowledge and experience in modifying mainframe applications beginning with a user request through
coding, testing and implementation 10 yrs.
• Successful completion of technology projects within area of responsibility
• Analyzing feasibility, compatibility and cost of solutions
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Desired skills:
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to engage business experts in designing and testing modifications to the Benefit Payment

| Question 1 | Absences greater than two weeks MUST be approved by CAI management in advance, and contact information must be provided to CAI so that the resource can be reached during his or her absence. The Client has the right to dismiss the resource if he or she does not return to work by the agreed upon date. Do you accept this requirement? |
