Position : Splunk Consultant
Location: Baltimore, MD (downtown area)

Description
One of our customers, a well-known employer head quartered in Baltimore has an immediate need for a Consultant with experience implementing Splunk, an industry leading operational intelligence platform. This is a 3-6 month contract with our customer. Required skills include Splunk Administration for IT Operations and Security. The tasks for this contract include the following:
- Design the Splunk infrastructure in a highly available configuration
- Standardize Splunk forwarder deployment, configuration and maintenance across a variety of UNIX and Windows platforms
- Assist with designing IT security-centric dashboards and alerting within Splunk
- Troubleshoot Splunk server and forwarder problems and issues
- Assist internal users of Splunk in designing and maintaining production-quality dashboards
- Mentor and train Splunk users and administrators
- Design core scripts to automate Splunk maintenance and alerting tasks
- Support Splunk on Unix, Linux and Windows-based platforms
- Proven track record of automating processes and procedures
