Job Description :
Sr. Storage Engineer who will be reporting to the manager of Systems, Storage and Backup for Data Center Engineering,
The Senior EMC Storage Engineer will primarily lead implementation of key EMC storage related initiatives

 

Responsibilities: 

    The primary focus will be the delivery of effective, integrated engineering solutions of EMC solutions into clients Enterprise Storage Environment.
    Working with clients and EMC engineers:
    Implement required EMC Infrastructure to enable and migrate to EMC VPLEX storage virtualization.
    Migrated data and applications from legacy storage to new EMC VMAX GEN 3 based storage infrastructure.
    Assist in the refresh of the core Brocade SAN fabric infrastructure.
    Integrate with systems from, but not limited to: Cisco, Oracle, IBM, EMC, NetApp, Brocade, Riverbed
    Document resulting configuration and usage procedures to ensure a smooth and complete transition to the operation support teams.
    Secondary focus will be to provide engineering support for client app storage environment.

 

Experience:

   experience developing and implementing Enterprise level storage solutions across multiple locations globally.
    5+ years leading cross functional teams in the implementation storage hardware and software solutions, along with installation and migration of the associated business applications and data.
    Production storage systems engineering experience with the following: All EMC VMAX and specifically the latest Gen 3 infrastructure, EMC Centera, NetApp FASxxx arrays, Brocade
   and Cisco Fabric switches
    Experience with SAN Virtualization technologies, with experience in the implementation and operation of the EMC VPLEX infrastructure highly desired for this engagement.
    Experience in leading technical teams that are both geographically distributed and culturally diverse.

 

Skills: 

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·         Must be able to effectively communicate defined solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
