Responsibilities: - Will lead/participate in the design, development and deployment of transactional e-commerce websites and tools.
- Will work with a team of developers and business analysts to ensure quality and timely project completion
- Must have the ability to understand and capture business/technical requirements and translate them into functional and design elements
- Will maintain and enhance e-commerce sites as per requirements
- Must have the ability to think out of the box and design concrete, robust and scalable solutions
Requirements: - Candidate must have strong e-Commerce and Software Product Development Experience
- Overall 7-8 years' experience in application development, JEE, SOA / Web Services
- 5 or more years of E-commerce and/or software product development experience
- 3 or more years of experience with Java, JEE, Object-oriented design principles, EJB, JSP, Struts, AJAX, CSS and HTML
- Working experience with Websphere Application Server/Web Logic
- Working experience with SOA / Web Services is a plus
- Working knowledge/hand on experience with javascript APIs i.e. JQuery, DOJO, YUI
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Optional experience a plus: - Experience with Spring MVC and Hibernate
- In –memory and external caching frameworks
- Experience working with implementing third party e-commerce services including but not limited to: Payment Methods (Paypal, Google Checkout), Product Reviews, e-commerce analytics (Coremetrics, Google Analytics), SEO/SEM, on-site search solutions (Endeca, Lucene, Google)
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL server
Responsibilities: - Demonstrates expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implementation implications.
- Manages complete life cycle for most complex or high-risk components.
- Analyzes functional design/overall application technical design and develops detailed module technical application for complex components.
- Identifies opportunities for improving software by partnering with customers; evaluates new and existing software products.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and their implications by guiding the development team in overall application technical design activities.
- Codes complex application components based on functional requirements
