Position: Network Architect
Location: Laurel, MD
Duration: 2 Months

 

Job Description:

Providing WAN migration support; WAN optimization includes acceptance of new Verizon EVPL circuits and configuration of the attached nodes.

Primary/Focus/Required Site(s): RGH and Seneca WWTP b. Secondary sites: South Laurel Pumping Station, Shady Grove ST, Neelsville Pumping Station Next Day support following migration of 5 sites.

Documentation development a. client requires a playbook with detailed procedures that can be replicated throughout the remaining 20+ sites.

Project Scoping 5. ESS Network Architecture Discovery

a. Identify 'as is' state of ESS network

 b. Review current and future/planned configuration(s)

 c. Provide design improvement or architectural strategy input

 d. Complete planning for WAN Migration

 Implementation a. Complete WAN circuit migration at:

 RGH ii. Seneca WWTP South Laurel Pumping Station

.Shady Grove ST v. Neelsville Pumping Station

Provide post implementation stability/maintenance support

Complete ESS WAN Playbook documentation along with WSSC

Candidate must have knowledge and experience developing WAN topology schematics, policy and configurations; Must be able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders from business executives to front line staff; must also have strong technology skills including experience with MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint; must have System Continuity and Standard Operating/Techniques, Tactics and Procedural documentation;

Must have demonstrated experience working in a complex integrated networking environment; must have strong oral and written communication skills;

Program management expertise and experience with Cisco routing and switching equipment to include models IE2000, 3850, 2911, 5K, 7K, etc.

CCIE, CCDE, CCAR or equivalent experience.
